Prepare your project

Launching a supplement brand: the checklist before the first order.

The launch is not just the publishing of a page. The product, payment, order, and customer response must be able to work together.

The point to remember

Before the launch, frame your role as a seller, the market, references, product information, payment, and budget. Then prepare a coherent brand site, a tested funnel, the shipping process, and support rules. The dashboard must allow tracking of what has actually been ordered, paid for, shipped, and processed.

1. Define who sells, what, and where

Identify the final seller, the targeted market, and the references considered. Specify one-time purchase, possible subscription, complementary products, and delivery conditions. The brand website, the funnel, and the documents given to partners must reflect the same activity.

In France, the declaration of the first marketing of a dietary supplement goes through the Compl'Alim process presented by Service Public Entreprendre. This point does not exhaust the applicable obligations. Product validations, labeling, and marketing must be reviewed with the responsible authorities; a web service provider does not replace them.

2. Gather the produced documents

Request the useful information for the actually sold reference: presentation, composition, packaging, traceability, and available documents. Make sure that the worked label corresponds to the product and the relevant market. The name of a factory or an image of a bottle is not enough to qualify the entire file.

The presentation and labeling rules for supplements include specific mentions. The DGCCRF publishes a reference sheet to consult. For the funnel, do not add any medical claim or certification that you cannot justify. Commercial creativity must remain consistent with the validated information.

3. Prepare the payment and cash flow

The merchant file must explain the activity, the products, the prices, and the terms of sale. Present any subscription from the outset of the study; do not assume that acceptance for a one-time purchase covers all variants. Conditions, fees, and any reservations depend on the payment provider.

The running circuit is prepaid in the Flex Nutra model. You must be able to finance the product and the shipment before preparation. An accepted customer payment does not mean that funds are already available on your account. This difference deserves a budget line, even without stock purchased in bulk.

4. Test the ordering process

Check the price, quantities, upsell choice, total, address, available payment methods, and confirmation. Refusing the additional offer must remain possible. a one-time purchase order must not create an unchosen subscription. The mobile version deserves the same check as the desktop.

Also test the technical events: order received, payment, no duplication, transactional message, and creation of the logistics flow. The tests must be identified as such. The demonstration data of this showcase do not constitute a validation of your production system.

5. Give a procedure to support

Prepare answers to questions about ordering, delivery, subscription, and returns. Define who can refund, modify, or escalate a request. Support handles the cases planned under your brand, in the agreed languages and hours. It must not promise timelines or results that are not documented.

Your support subdomain and your dashboard must share a useful history. A client should not have to explain their entire order in each message. Personal data and access must remain limited to the needs of the service; sensitive requests follow an appropriate procedure.

6. Prepare the follow-ups and the launch criteria

Commercial emails must comply with the eligibility conditions of contacts. The CNIL specifically reminds that consent or the right to object must be handled according to the context; an account created without a purchase is not sufficient to apply the customer exception. Service messages and newsletters do not pursue the same purpose.

Finish with a list of blockages before activation: payment file not accepted, reference unavailable, incomplete product information, tracking not tested, or budget not allocated. A useful launch date comes after these checks. It is not a promise of initial sales, but a validation of the usable scope.

Your numbers. Your offer. Your scope.

The call allows you to bring these benchmarks closer to your actual project, without any promise of automatic results.

Frequently Asked Questions

To go further.

The scope is defined before the invoice, not after the launch.

Is this checklist sufficient to be compliant?

No. She is organizing an operational project. The exact obligations depend on the activity, the product, and the market, and must be reviewed with the responsible authorities.

Can I run without having enabled the network CPA ?

Yes. The CPA channel is optional. You can use your own eligible channels once the necessary launch elements have been validated.
